How to choose a motion platform
Four things decide the right platform. Use the comparison below to filter the range above.
Racing or flight
Racing set-ups favour sharp cues like braking and kerbs. Flight versions, such as DOF Reality's R models, use reducer gearboxes for slow, sustained banking. Some platforms do both.
Pick your level of motion
2DOF gives pitch and roll, the core of motion. 3DOF adds traction loss or heave. 4DOF and above add heave, surge and more for the most complete feel.
Check your rig and space
Some platforms are complete units. Others, like SIMRIG and the ProSimu P-series, bolt to an existing aluminium profile rig. Leave room for it to move.
Budget for the whole setup
Allow for a cockpit, wheelbase, pedals and a PC or VR headset if you do not have them yet. Our UK price guide shows real budgets.

How many DOF do I need?
For most people 2DOF or 3DOF is the sweet spot. You feel braking and cornering, and with 3DOF traction loss or bumps too. Step up to 4DOF or 6DOF for heave and the most complete feel.

How much space do I need?
It depends on the platform and how far it moves. Our space guide shows what to measure before you buy.
Do prices include VAT and delivery?
Yes. Every price includes UK VAT, delivery is free to UK mainland addresses, and there are no import fees to pay when it arrives.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes. Instalment options are shown at checkout, subject to status. You can see them before you pay.
Can I return it?
If something is faulty you get a full refund within 30 days of delivery, or a repair or replacement under warranty after that. We arrange the return. If you change your mind you can cancel within 14 days of delivery. Full returns policy.
