800mm/s maximum speed makes the QS-220 the fastest actuator set in consumer sim racing. Sub-8ms latency at 1000Hz means every bump, brake, slide, and surface change arrives before your eyes finish processing the visual. Double the QS-210 stroke means sustained cornering, aggressive kerb riding, and flight sim pitch holds are reproduced cleanly.

QubicManager software is free, developed in-house, and supports over 80 racing and flight titles. Expandable to 5DOF with the QS-CH2 surge and yaw platform. Every Qubic component works together and nothing gets replaced as you scale up.

What is included in the 3DOF Full System?

Are these really the same actuators as the QS-V20?

Yes. Identical QS-L1 industrial linear actuators. Same 100mm stroke, same 800mm/s speed, same precision. The QS-V20 packages them inside a complete turnkey cockpit with frame and seat for £17,759. The QS-220 gives you the actuators at a fraction of that cost to mount on the rig you already own.

What is the QS-PIVOT and do I need it?

An optional pivot bar that adds yaw-like rotation to a 2DOF system, creating 2.5DOF. Compatible with the QS-220 but the cockpit sits slightly lower at mid-stroke due to the longer actuator body. An aluminium profile spacer can level this out if preferred. Good upgrade for traction loss feel without going full 3DOF.

Can I expand to 5DOF?

Yes. Mount the QS-220 actuators on top of a QS-CH2 surge and yaw platform. The QS-CH2 adds surge (forward and back) and yaw (rotation) for a 5DOF system. Contact us if you want to discuss a 5DOF build.

Why 100mm stroke instead of 60mm?

Double the travel means the actuators can reproduce larger positional changes and sustain motion angles longer. Most noticeable in high-downforce cars with sustained cornering loads, aggressive kerb riding, and flight simulation where pitch and roll need to be held for extended periods.

What cockpits are compatible?

Any aluminium profile (8020) cockpit with the included brackets and flat face adapters. SimLab, Trak Racer, ASR, and similar. Designed specifically for 8020 extrusion mounting.

What GPU or PC specs do I need?

QubicManager runs alongside your sim with minimal CPU load. Your PC specs are determined by your games and display setup, not the motion platform. Any PC running sim titles can run QubicManager.

How does the QS-220 compare to DOF Reality?

Different products. DOF Reality sells complete platforms with frame and seat included. The QS-220 is an actuator system for your existing cockpit. DOF offers more DOF options (up to 6DOF). Qubic offers faster, more precise actuators. If you own a quality rig already, the QS-220 upgrades it. If you need everything from scratch, DOF Reality is the complete solution. Is it suitable for flight simulation?

Very. 100mm stroke is particularly well suited to flight sim where sustained pitch and roll angles need to be held cleanly. Compatible with MSFS, DCS, X-Plane, and all flight titles. VR HeadWay support included for motion sickness reduction in VR flight.
