How to choose a flight sim motion platform
Flight needs smooth, sustained movement. Here is what to look for.
Smooth, sustained motion
Flight versions, such as DOF Reality's R models, use reducer gearboxes for slow banking and climbs rather than sharp racing cues.
Pitch and roll first
Pitch and roll cover take-off, climbs and banked turns. Heave adds turbulence and touchdowns.
Yaw for rotation
Platforms with yaw, like the Yaw U, can rotate with the aircraft. Our yaw guide explains when it matters.
Check your rig and space
Some platforms are complete units. Others, like SIMRIG and the ProSimu P-series, bolt to an existing aluminium profile rig. Leave room for it to move.

Common questions
Quick answers. Email us if yours is not here.
Which sims does it work with?
Motion software supports the main flight sims, including MSFS, DCS and X-Plane. Check the product page for the platform you choose, or ask us.
How many DOF do I need?
For most people 2DOF or 3DOF is the sweet spot. You feel braking and cornering, and with 3DOF traction loss or bumps too. Step up to 4DOF or 6DOF for heave and the most complete feel.
Will it fit my rig?
Send us your rig, seat and controls by email and a specialist will confirm before you order. support@simtorque.co.uk
Do prices include VAT and delivery?
Yes. Every price includes UK VAT, delivery is free to UK mainland addresses, and there are no import fees to pay when it arrives.
Can I return it?
If something is faulty you get a full refund within 30 days of delivery, or a repair or replacement under warranty after that. We arrange the return. If you change your mind you can cancel within 14 days of delivery. Full returns policy.
