This is the architecture F1 teams use to train drivers. The Qubic System QS-S25, the Spider, is a full six DOF professional motion cockpit running six independent high speed linear actuators that deliver surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch and yaw simultaneously. Every force a real car applies to a driver, or a real aircraft applies to a pilot, the Spider reproduces. Nothing approximated, nothing left out. For sim racers and pilot trainees who want the most realistic simulation it is possible to own at consumer scale, this is the ceiling. The QS-S25 does not compromise, so neither do you.

Cockpit set: The QS-S25 is sold as the complete motion base: three QS-220 motion sets on upper and bottom frames, with the motion controller, MOTION-LOCK switch, cabling and transport wheels. The dedicated cockpit set with integrated monitor mounts for three 32 inch screens is available as an add on. We strongly recommend including the cockpit set unless integrating into a custom rig.

What is 6DOF and why does it matter?

6DOF stands for six degrees of freedom. The QS-S25 moves across all six axes simultaneously: surge (forward and backward), sway (side to side), heave (vertical), pitch (nose up and down), roll (side tilt) and yaw (rotational traction loss). Most home motion platforms offer 2 to 4 of these axes. Having all six working together is what produces the full physical sensation of driving a real racing car rather than a simulation of it.

Does the QS-S25 need to be anchored to the floor?

Yes. Floor anchoring is required for safe operation. The platform produces significant dynamic forces under load and must be secured to ensure stability during use. This is a standard requirement for professional grade hexapod simulators.

Is this the same technology F1 teams use?

Yes. Stewart platform hexapods are the standard motion architecture used by Formula 1 teams, aerospace companies, and military training programmes worldwide. The QS-S25 uses the same fundamental design and industrial-grade actuators.

What is the difference between the S25 and the V20?

The V20 is a 4DOF system using actuators mounted at specific points on a cockpit frame. The S25 is a 6DOF Stewart platform hexapod where six actuators work in parallel to create all six axes of motion. The S25 delivers two additional degrees of freedom (surge and sway) and uses a fundamentally different motion architecture.

Is the cockpit set included in the price?

No. The base price covers the motion platform only. The dedicated cockpit set with integrated monitor mounts for three 32 inch screens is available as an add-on when selecting your configuration above. We strongly recommend the cockpit set unless you are integrating the platform into an existing custom rig.

What software does the QS-S25 use?

The QS-S25 uses Qubic Manager, developed by Qubic System and available as a free download. It is compatible with all major racing and flight simulation titles on PC and is continuously updated. It is also compatible with professional simulation SDK applications for developers.

What space and power do I need?

Approximately 3.5m x 3m of clear floor space. Standard single-phase power. The platform is self-contained and does not require three-phase industrial power.

Can I use this at home?

Yes. Several QS-S25 units are installed in private homes. The platform operates quietly enough for residential use and runs on standard household power. You need the floor space and a ground-floor installation is recommended due to the combined weight.

What is the delivery time to the UK?

The QS-S25 ships from Poland. Delivery to UK mainland addresses takes 1 to 2 weeks from dispatch. Free UK mainland delivery is included. Please contact us before ordering if you have specific installation requirements and we will confirm access and suitability for your space.

Can the QS-S25 fit through a standard doorway?
