Alongside our standard motion platform catalogue, SimTorque partners with UK-based bespoke motion manufacturers to deliver custom builds for institutional, commercial and defence customers. If your project requires a motion platform that doesn't exist off the shelf, we can help you scope, build, and deliver it.

What We Deliver

  • Bespoke motion platforms

Every build starts from your application, not a product page. Standing platforms for VR training, oversized footprints for multi-seat cockpits, ruggedised frames for high-throughput commercial use. We engineer the motion envelope, payload, and geometry around what you need it to do.

  • Safety and compliance

Built to operate in supervised and unsupervised environments. Emergency stop systems, motion envelope limiters, harness retention, guarded entry points, and instructor override capability. Every safety system is specified during the design phase, not bolted on after the build.

  • Software and telemetry integration

Your platform needs to talk to your software. UDP telemetry input, memory-mapped data feeds, or pre-configured plug-and-play hardware interfaces developed to work with your existing simulation environment. Custom motion algorithms tuned to your specific application where required.

Applications We Serve

Defence and military training

Custom motion platforms for personnel training applications, including maritime, aviation, and ground vehicle simulation.

02

Commercial training centres

Bespoke configurations for driver training, flight training, professional simulator operators, and vocational training facilities.

03

VR training and experience operators

Standing platforms, large-footprint configurations, and motion systems for VR training installations and immersive experience operators.

04

Specialist commercial installations

Demonstration platforms, showroom installations, and other commercial applications requiring custom motion engineering.

How It Works

  1. Initial enquiry

Get in touch with as much detail as you can about your application, requirements, environment, timeline and budget. The more we know upfront, the better we can scope.

  2. Technical scoping

We work with our manufacturing partner to scope the project technically, confirming the motion envelope, safety engineering, software integration approach, and any specific requirements.

  3. Quote and proposal

A structured proposal covering the build specification, lead time, delivery, installation approach, and pricing, broken out so you know exactly what you're paying for.

  4. Build with concurrent engagement

Once the order is confirmed, we start the build. Your engineering team can engage directly with our manufacturer during the build for software integration and any technical refinement.

  5. UK testing and delivery

Where the build allows, the platform is fully tested and signed off in the UK before crating and dispatch. Installation is handled either on-site by our partner or by your engineers with documentation and remote support, depending on what works best for the project.
