6DOF Platforms
A 6DOF platform moves on all six axes at once: pitch, roll, heave, surge, sway and yaw. It is the most complete motion you can get at home, and the standard for professional training and research.
Lower DOF platforms approximate some forces. 6DOF reproduces the full movement of a car or aircraft, so braking, cornering, climbing and banking each get their own sensation. It is built for sim racers who want no compromise, flight and helicopter simmers who want the full envelope, and training or research setups.
