Pitch and roll tell you what the car is doing. Heave tells you what the track is doing. The eMotion e3 adds that vertical third axis on top of the e2's pitch and roll, so kerb strikes, road texture and the suspension working under you come up through the seat as physical motion, not on screen suggestion. Flight simmers get the same physics in their world: turbulence, ground effect, the altitude shifts in slow flight that turn a smooth approach into a busy one. The axis that takes a platform from impressive to immersive. UK built and UK supported.

  • 3 axes of motion: pitch, roll and heave
  • Heave axis brings kerbs and texture in sim racing, turbulence and altitude in flight sim
  • 1200 x 600mm top plate, suits most cockpits
  • Adapter plates available for longer cockpits, £100
  • PC and console compatible
  • UK manufactured
  • Suitable for sim racing and flight simulation

Configuration: Add a Single Screen or Triple Screen cockpit, the eBelt tensioner, or a Console Controller as variants above. The platform alone does not include cockpit, seat, wheelbase, pedals or monitor.

Cockpit check: Fits most cockpits including Trak Racer, GT Omega, Playseat and Rseat. Adapter plates supplied free where needed.

Console use: Add the Console Controller variant above. Compatible with GT7, F1 series, Project Cars 2 and Forza titles. Not all racing titles supported. Contact us if unsure.

Our Recommendation The e3 is for users who want surface texture in addition to pitch and roll. In racing that means kerb energy and road feel, the stuff that tells you whether you are on or over the limit. In flight sim it means turbulence and ground effect, the cues you actually use when the visuals are doing their job. Heave is the axis that turns a platform from impressive into useful.

Pitch and roll tell you what the car is doing. Heave tells you what the track is doing.

The third axis on the e3 is heave - the vertical motion that brings kerb strikes, road texture, suspension compression and surface bumps up through your seat as physical movement, not on-screen suggestion.

It's the axis that turns a platform from "impressive" into "immersive". In flight sim, the same axis becomes turbulence, ground effect, and altitude shifts. Three actuators, full UK build, the 1200 x 600mm plate that fits most major cockpits. Adapter plates supplied free for anything that needs them.

The eMotion platform serious owners settle on.

The e3 is where most committed eMotion buyers end up, whether they planned to or not. People start out looking at the e2 and the e2X, work out what they're after, and end up wanting heave. The reason is simple - once you've felt a kerb strike physically arrive through the seat, going back to a platform that only pitches and rolls feels like a step backwards.

UK-built to order, supported direct from the team that designed it, no import VAT, no customs, no waiting three weeks for a part.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my existing cockpit fit on the platform?

Every eMotion order goes through a compatibility check before being placed with the manufacturer. Contact us with your cockpit make and model before ordering and we will confirm suitability. Adapter plates are available at £100 for longer cockpits that require front support. The e2X has a 900 x 600mm top plate designed specifically for rail and profile cockpits. The e2 and e3 have a larger 1200 x 600mm plate that suits most cockpits. If you don't have a cockpit yet, you can add an eMotion Single Screen or Triple Screen cockpit as a variant option above — both bolt directly onto the platform.

How long does delivery take?

eMotion platforms are built to order in the UK. The current lead time is 3 to 4 weeks from order placement. We will keep you updated on your build progress throughout and confirm a delivery window once your platform is complete.

Is this made in the UK?

Yes. Every eMotion Simulators platform is designed and built in the UK. There are no import fees, no customs charges and no delays at the border. The price shown on site includes VAT and delivery to UK mainland addresses.

What does the heave axis on the e3 actually feel like?

Heave is vertical movement. When you drive over a kerb, hit a bump or go through a compression, the platform physically moves up and down in response to the telemetry from your simulation. Most customers describe it as the single most impactful axis for immersion because it makes the road surface feel real in a way that pitch and roll alone cannot replicate.

What is included in the box?

The motion platform unit is included with all cables and fixings required for installation. Your seat, steering wheel, pedals, monitor and PC are not included. Full setup guidance is provided by the eMotion team. You can add an eMotion cockpit, eBelt seat belt tensioner, or Console Controller as variant options above — see the Specifications tab for the full list of what's included and what can be added.

Does it work with console?

Without the console controller this product works with PC only. For console use a separate console controller is required, available as an add-on when selecting your variant above. The console controller connects to your console via your home network. Please note that console compatibility is limited to specific titles only — Gran Turismo 7, F1 2017 to 2025, Project Cars 2, Forza Motorsport 7, Forza Motorsport 8, Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5. If you are unsure whether your game is supported, contact us before ordering.

Is the e3 Right For You?

Not every product is right for every buyer. Here's an honest breakdown to help you decide if this is the right choice for your setup, budget, and goals.

Best For

  • Sim racers and flight simmers wanting three axes of UK-built motion in a single unit
  • Anyone valuing the heave axis - vertical motion for kerb strikes, road surface, and (for flight) turbulence and altitude
  • Buyers stepping up from pitch-and-roll motion who want a meaningful capability increase
  • UK buyers prioritising no import VAT, no customs delays, and direct manufacturer support

Consider the STL Instead If

  • You're sim racing focused and want traction loss specifically (rather than heave)
  • Linear motion through surge appeals more than tilt-based motion via heave
  • Your priority is rear-axle feedback over vertical feedback
