Is the Cobra Ultralite Carbon Right For You?
Not every product is right for every buyer. Here's an honest breakdown to help you decide if this is the right choice for your setup, budget, and goals.
Best For
- Sim racers on flagship motion platforms (4DOF+) where seat weight affects motion fidelity
- Drivers running long endurance stints who value reduced fatigue from lighter seating
- Content creators where the carbon shell aesthetic matters on camera
- Buyers who race real cars alongside sim and want FIA 8855-1999 race-grade in both
Consider the Cobra Sebring T Instead If
- Your budget is closer to £729
- You don't need carbon construction — fibreglass is FIA-approved and performs identically in sim use
- You'd rather invest the £2,000+ difference in a better wheelbase or motion upgrade
Not Recommended For
- First-time sim seat buyers — overkill until you know your fit preferences
- Static rig users — carbon's weight advantage is wasted on a fixed cockpit
- Buyers who haven't measured their hip width — Cobra's bolster geometry is specific, and carbon shells aren't adjustable
Sizing Guide
Find Your Fit
Our racing seats are a universal fit designed to suit the majority of drivers. Here's how to check the seat works for you before you order.
01
Measure your hips
While seated, measure the width across the widest point of your hips and thighs. This is the most important measurement for seat fit.
02
Measure your shoulders
Measure the width across your shoulders. Taller and broader drivers should also note their seated height.
03
Compare to the dimensions
Check your measurements against the seat's internal dimensions listed in the specifications section on this page. A race seat is designed to be close-fitting, so allow a snug but comfortable margin rather than a loose one.
Not sure if this seat suits your build? Email your height, hip and shoulder measurements to support@simtorque.co.uk and we'll confirm fit before you order.
