Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Nogaro Circuit suitable for sim racing?
Yes. The Nogaro Circuit is one of the most popular seats used in sim racing. The rigid GRP shell mounts directly to sim rig side mount profiles and stays completely fixed under load. The harness slots allow you to run a 4 or 6 point harness if your rig supports it. Unlike padded gaming chairs or road car recliners, the fixed shell means your body position stays consistent every session.
What is the difference between the Nogaro Street and the Nogaro Circuit?
The Circuit version has harness slots cut into the shell for 4 and 6 point harness use. The Street version does not have harness slots and is designed for standard lap belt use. For sim racing the Circuit is the recommended version as it gives you the option to run a harness on your rig.
What is the difference between the GRP and carbon versions?
Both versions use the same seat shape and dimensions. The GRP shell is fibreglass reinforced plastic and is the standard version. The polished carbon version uses a carbon fibre shell which is significantly lighter and has a premium aesthetic finish. For sim racing use both perform identically. The carbon version is for drivers who want the highest specification finish.
What does the Signature Range mean?
The Signature Range allows you to choose from a wider selection of upholstery colours and combinations beyond the standard options. You can specify your choice of Amalfi vinyl or leather colour, stitching colour and Cobra logo colour. Contact us after ordering to discuss your Signature specification and we will liaise with Cobra on your behalf.
Do I need side mounts and what size do I need?
Yes. The Nogaro Circuit is a side-mounted seat and requires side mounts to fit to your sim rig. The standard steel side mounts at £75 a pair work with all standard aluminium profile rigs. The alloy side mounts at £125 a pair are a lighter and more premium option. Both are available as add-ons above. If you are unsure which fits your rig contact us before ordering.
Can I add heating or a lumbar support?
Yes. Cobra offers heating and a fitted pump-up lumbar support as factory-installed options. These are added during manufacturing and cannot be retrofitted after delivery. Contact us when placing your order if you would like these added and we will arrange pricing and specification with Cobra directly.
How long does delivery take?
Cobra seats are made to order in the UK at their Telford facility. Lead time is approximately 4 weeks from order placement. Once dispatched, delivery to UK mainland addresses is included free of charge.
Can I return a made-to-order seat?
As Cobra seats are made to your specification they are non-returnable once production has started. Please ensure you have selected the correct option before placing your order. If you are unsure about any specification detail contact us before ordering and we will help you confirm the right choice.
